Energy

A splash of cold clarity
crashes like a slap on a face,
it breaks on the shoreline of time
until totally dissolved

but that energy is not lost.

Watching ripples rewards waiters,
who know now not to look away,
the first drop of rain and the last look the same.

A soothing sprinkle falls on the igneous heart, cracking away the
blackening dark passions, cooling heat forever

but that energy is not lost.

A caress in the moonlight like a waterfall's reach, soft compassion of skin's contacting itself, one hand warms while the other is colder,

that energy is not lost, once flowing, the river makes way for itself
even if the earth must be moved.
