Heart Musing

Heart musings…

The wounds you feel in your heart do not have to be wounds--they may challenge your emotions, but they're also openings into the core, the source of your being. The more open you open your heart, the more compassion you can feel for others. The sense of loss or broken heartedness is not negative; we’ve just categorized it with our language to seem that way. The feeling we all resist is the feeling of compassion, of the loss of the self in the love for the other. It may be a slightly unbalanced state, and emotions can get very high when in this opened up and vulnerable place. Perhaps the balanced and enlightened path is in the center between compassion for others and love for oneself, through the realization that the subject and object, the self and the other, are one in the same. The separation is only a perspective. Do not flee from your opening heart.
